Meet the maestros.

It takes a special team to deliver the caliber of work we’re known for. Which is why, when it comes to the people behind the curtain, we believe in quality over quantity. Fortunately, in addition to individual areas of expertise, they’re also quite good at wearing multiple hats.

Art Stinson, CGR, CGP, CAPS
President

- Certified Graduate Remodeler (National Association of Home Builders)
- Certified Green Professional (National Association of Home Builders)
- Certified Aging in Place Specialist (National Association of Home Builders)

He may have earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee, but Art’s education goes back much further than that. In fact, he’s worked in the construction industry since he was old enough to drive a car. Over the past thirty years, his expertise has covered everything from municipal and office projects to historic renovations and shopping centers.

He’s also our fearless leader. In 1991, Art founded Trace Ventures on the conviction that homeowners deserve the same level of professional, attentive service as commercial clients. We couldn’t agree more.

Gianni Shipman, CGP
Operations Manager, Chief Estimator

- Certified Green Professional (National Association of Home Builders)

From communicating with field staff, trade contractor partners and vendors to working closely with clients on a routine basis, Gianni is constantly on the go. Prior to joining our team, he spent seven years as a senior project manager and event operations manager, producing large-scale entertainment events. The NBA All-Star Game, MTV Campus Invasion Tour and Disney Premiers in the Park are just some of the wonders he worked.

Gianni also spent four years as a flight operations specialist and air traffic controller for the United States Navy. (Which explains his ability to remain cool while managing so many tasks at once.)

Mark Holliday, CR, CGP, CAPS
Client Services and Production Manager

- Certified Remodeler (National Association of the Remodeling Industry)
- Certified Green Professional (National Association of Home Builders)
- Certified Aging in Place Specialist (National Association of Home Builders)
- EPA Lead-Safe Certified Renovator

With more than twenty years of construction, remodeling and client service experience under his belt, Mark is no rookie. In fact, in his previous life he was the owner and president of an award-winning remodeling company in the Midwest. In addition to knowing houses, both old and new, inside and out, Mark is our resident expert on home performance and energy-efficiency improvements. He's the person you'll talk to if you call about TVA's EnergyRight program, small projects or handyman services. Last but not least, he also oversees our handyman division, production crew and safety training. Back to Top

Rick Dismukes
Project Manager

- EPA Lead-Safe Certified Renovator

Technically, he’s an onsite supervisor of remodeling and addition projects. But that doesn’t stop Rick from rolling up his sleeves and diving into the work when necessary. Which is fine by us since he’s worked for more than fifteen years in construction-related fields — from new home construction (custom and spec) to residential remodeling and commercial construction. Rick also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and computer science from the University of Tennessee.

Chris Fedler
Lead Carpenter

This skilled craftsman comes to Trace by way of San Francisco, where he was a lead carpenter and foreman for a leading design/build firm there. Whether it’s adding two stories to an 1890’s Italianate home, refreshing an outdated bath or mitering crisp corners, Chris cares about his work and is passionate about creating a quality end product. He has a keen eye for design and is working after hours toward earning a Computer Aided Drafting and Design degree.

Stormy Bethke
Carpenter and Cabinetmaker

Don’t let the name fool you. When it comes to crafting precision details, Stormy is calm, collected and extremely talented. Since joining the Trace team in 1993, he has put his exacting touch on all things wood from custom millwork, mortise-and-tenon joinery and all kinds of cabinetry to old windows, doors and stairs. In fact, you can see this Trace veteran's skill on display in most of our award-winning projects.

Jonathan Bragg
Carpenter

It’s tough to say enough about the breadth of knowledge, technical skill and can-do attitude that Jon brings to every job he’s assigned to. His 30 years of residential construction experience make him our go-to guy for everything from home performance and energy-efficiency projects to carpentry and plumbing. This multi-faceted veteran is a great asset to our team and to our clients' projects.

Jill Laczko
Accounting Manager

Jill, another long-time Trace team member, has been with us since 1993. Drawing from more than twenty-five years of accounting experience, she handles our day-to-day number crunching. Accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costs — they all fall in her domain. (She’s also in charge of payroll, which once a week makes her the most popular person in the office.)

Martha Stinson
Vice President

Martha first volunteered to fill in with us on a temporary basis. Once she discovered a passion for our business, however, there was no turning back. In 2004, she traded her public relations practice for a permanent desk at Trace. After years of directing and handling campaigns and other projects for a variety of clients (including divisions of Fortune 500 companies), Martha decided to focus her forces on a single client.

Lucky us.

Many of the systems and processes we use today to consistently deliver high-quality client experiences are courtesy of Martha.  She’s also the first person you’ll talk to when you call about a remodeling project.
