It takes a special team to deliver the caliber of work we’re known for. Which is why, when it comes to the people behind the curtain, we believe in quality over quantity. Fortunately, in addition to individual areas of expertise, they’re also quite good at wearing multiple hats.
He may have earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee, but Art’s education goes back much further than that. In fact, he’s worked in the construction industry since he was old enough to drive a car. Over the past thirty years, his expertise has covered everything from municipal and office projects to historic renovations and shopping centers.
He’s also our fearless leader. In 1991, Art founded Trace Ventures on the conviction that homeowners deserve the same level of professional, attentive service as commercial clients. We couldn’t agree more.
From communicating with field staff, trade contractor partners and vendors to working closely with clients on a routine basis, Gianni is constantly on the go. Prior to joining our team, he spent seven years as a senior project manager and event operations manager, producing large-scale entertainment events. The NBA All-Star Game, MTV Campus Invasion Tour and Disney Premiers in the Park are just some of the wonders he worked.
Gianni also spent four years as a flight operations specialist and air traffic controller for the United States Navy. (Which explains his ability to remain cool while managing so many tasks at once.)
Technically, he’s an onsite supervisor of remodeling and addition projects. But that doesn’t stop Rick from rolling up his sleeves and diving into the work when necessary. Which is fine by us since he’s worked for more than fifteen years in construction-related fields — from new home construction (custom and spec) to residential remodeling and commercial construction. Rick also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and computer science from the University of Tennessee.
Jill, another long-time Trace team member, has been with us since 1993. Drawing from more than twenty-five years of accounting experience, she handles our day-to-day number crunching. Accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costs — they all fall in her domain. (She’s also in charge of payroll, which once a week makes her the most popular person in the office.)
Martha first volunteered to fill in with us on a temporary basis. Once she discovered a passion for our business, however, there was no turning back. In 2004, she traded her public relations practice for a permanent desk at Trace. After years of directing and handling campaigns and other projects for a variety of clients (including divisions of Fortune 500 companies), Martha decided to focus her forces on a single client.
Lucky us.
Many of the systems and processes we use today to consistently deliver high-quality client experiences are courtesy of Martha. She’s also the first person you’ll talk to when you call about a remodeling project.
