Universal Design (also known as Accessible Design) is a way of designing a home, addition or remodel that makes the structure accessible and functional for all ages, abilities and circumstances. In layman’s terms, it allows you to stay in your home safely, independently and comfortably at any age or ability level.
The National Association of Home Builders has collaborated with the AARP to provide specialized training for people who want to become Certified Aging in Place Specialists (CAPS).
At Trace, we’re proud to have earned the CAPS certification. With this insight in addition to our years of experience, we’re able to provide a range of Universal Design services.
